INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL OF RIVERS
IFOR is a festival of rivers, celebrating life through rivers and is dedicated to all rivers of the world. The major theme of the event is women empowerment in our country by protecting rivers and also protecting the environment.
The prime objective of IFOR is to promote commendable work, especially in the field of water conservation and tourism development. It is inspired by the extensive and intricate work of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to preserve rivers and promote India’s culture on the global stage.
The event focuses to create mass awareness about the sprawling development in Bihar carried out by the Bihar Government along with the environmental protection efforts. It is an 11-day festival which is a cultural extravaganza including dance and music performances, and a light show as part of the entertainment package.
Famous personalities around the world will attend the event which will help further create international awareness owing to the august presence of our esteemed guests. Sanatani GANGA Foundation, in association with IDPTS Research Wings Pvt. Ltd., collaborate with various government bodies and NGOs to organize and execute large-scale international and national cultural and environmental events in India.
MISSION AND VISSION
The International Festival of Rivers (IFOR) is a global initiative launched by Captain Praveen Kumar. His long-term vision is to transform IFOR into an international movement, evolving it into an event on par with the Olympics for Asian countries, not only to foster cultural exchange between the participating nations but also to drive sporting convergence with the presence of the participants from the multiple countries who indulge in passing on their traditional ancient wisdom under the umbrella of IFOR.
A Global Bridge: Boosting Tourism in Bihar and Beyond
The International Festival of Rivers serves as a diplomatic and cultural bridge, connecting nations that share a stake in water security and heritage tourism.
Focus on Bihar: We aim to reposition the state of Bihar as a premier global hub for eco-tourism and spiritual heritage. By highlighting the majestic stretch of the Ganga in Bihar, we invite international investments and travellers to witness the state’s untapped beauty.
National Impact: This festival will act as a catalyst for tourism across India, fostering cross-border collaborations across Asian counties and positioning India as the world leader in “Smart Green Tourism.”
IFOR is a movement that merges ancient heritage by brining together participants from a string of Asian countries to not only preserve but only promote a flow of traditions and culture on a global stage. We are launching the International Festival of Rivers (IFOR), a global initiative dedicated to the vital cause of ‘Saving Our Water, Our Rivers, and Our Environment’ while also keeping an active focus on the cause of disaster management along with showcasing India’s rich culture on the international level.
Predictive Disaster Mitigation: Deploying models to predict water level fluctuations, flash floods, and soil erosion along the marathon route to ensure the safety of thousands of participants.
Real-time Emergency Response: Using logistics to manage medical and environmental emergencies in remote stretches of the 2,000 KM path and creating a blueprint for disaster management in riverine ecosystems globally.
