Honouring Maa Sita. Preserving Sanatan Heritage. Spreading the Light of Dharma.
Across the sacred pages of the Ramayana, the life of Maa Sita stands as an eternal symbol of courage, purity, compassion, dignity, and unwavering faith. Her divine journey continues to inspire millions, reminding humanity that true strength lies in character, patience, devotion, and the courage to uphold righteousness even in the most difficult circumstances.
In December 2026, the Sanatani Ganga Foundation (SGF) is preparing to bring this timeless legacy to life through Sita Utsav 2026 (Sitotsav), a landmark spiritual and cultural celebration in Sri Lanka. Centred around the sacred geography associated with Maa Sita, this initiative seeks to reconnect generations with the Ramayana, preserve India’s civilizational heritage, and strengthen the spiritual and cultural bonds between India, Nepal, and Sri Lanka.
Scheduled for December 17–19, 2026, Sita Utsav is envisioned as more than a festival. It is a collective offering of devotion, service, and cultural preservation.
A Sacred Mission That Belongs to Every Devotee
The story of Maa Sita transcends geographical boundaries. From Janakpur to Ayodhya and the sacred landscapes of Sri Lanka, her journey represents a spiritual heritage shared by generations of devotees.
The upcoming Sita Utsav aims to honour this legacy through sacred rituals, devotional observances, cultural performances, spiritual gatherings, and initiatives promoting women’s dignity and empowerment.
Bringing such an ambitious initiative to life requires the collective participation of devotees, families, spiritual organisations, cultural institutions, and well-wishers who believe in preserving our timeless traditions.
Every act of service, every helping hand, and every contribution made with devotion can help carry this sacred mission forward.
Why Your Support Matters
Organising a spiritual and cultural gathering of this scale involves extensive preparation, coordination, travel arrangements, sacred ceremonies, and cultural programming. The collective support of the Sanatan community can help make these activities possible.
Your generous contribution can help facilitate:
1. Sacred Rituals and Puja Seva
Supporting Vedic ceremonies, Rudrabhishek, devotional offerings, flowers, and essential ritual materials at the sacred sites associated with Maa Sita.
2. Grand Deepotsav at Ashok Vatika
Helping illuminate the sacred surroundings with traditional earthen lamps, creating an atmosphere of devotion, hope, and spiritual unity.
3. Annadaan Seva
Contributing towards meals and essential hospitality for participating pilgrims, saints, priests, volunteers, and other members of the spiritual gathering.
4. Preservation of Sanatan Heritage
Enabling cultural programmes, educational initiatives, spiritual discourses, and the dissemination of knowledge about the Ramayana and the sacred traditions connecting India and Sri Lanka.
5. Youth Participation and Women’s Empowerment
Encouraging initiatives such as Run for Maa Sita, which seeks to inspire discipline, fitness, unity, and awareness of the strength and dignity embodied by Maa Sita.
6. Pilgrim Assistance and Event Arrangements
Helping meet essential logistical needs, including accommodation, transportation, coordination, and other arrangements necessary for the smooth conduct of the pilgrimage and festival.
Through collective participation, we can help transform a shared spiritual vision into a meaningful experience for devotees and future generations.

Support/Seva: An Opportunity to Participate in a Sacred Yajna
In Sanatan tradition, seva is not limited to physical participation. It also includes offering one’s time, abilities, resources, and sincere intentions for a noble cause.
While some devotees may travel to Sri Lanka and participate directly in the sacred observances, others can become part of this mission by extending financial assistance and supporting the arrangements behind the scenes.
Such participation reflects the spirit of Support/Seva—the offering of one’s resources in service of Dharma.
Whether your contribution is modest or substantial, what matters is the sincerity of your intention and your willingness to support a cause dedicated to preserving sacred heritage.
By helping provide meals, facilitate rituals, illuminate the Deepotsav, or bring cultural programmes to life, you can become a meaningful part of this collective endeavour.

The Sanatani Ganga Foundation invites devotees, families, institutions, and well-wishers to join hands in making this sacred initiative a success.
